Bert Buijsen's company BUMET first started working sheet metal in 1954 in Heeze. Throughout the nineteen sixties and seventies the company enjoyed steady growth, both in terms of the number of employees and metal work facilities and machinery. This was due partly to the steadily increasing orders for various machined sheet metal products from DAF Trucks.
The foundation stone for BUMET’s modern and extensive Heeze company building, sited on the industrial park ‘De Poortmannen’ and located on the Industrieweg in Heeze, was laid in 1985. BUMET continued to grow in the metal sector during the nineteen nineties and by 2001 the company was ready to add a new arm to its quality sheet metal working business in Hungary.
In 2016, BUMET made the new start of Ruco Systems in Valkenwaard possible. This resulted in our current organisation with three branches and more than 200 employees. Our company can meet nearly all requests regarding metalworking, assembly and logistics. We are investing continuously in qualified professionals, sheet plate technology and machinery.
